The most ancient star map is considered to be the carved mammoth tusk which was found in 1979 in Germany. Artifact is 32 500 years, and the carving on it reminds the constellation of Orion.The first Russian star map was made in 1699 by the order of Peter the Great. It was drawn by hand and didn't look like the maps which we are used to seeing now.
